Family Friday
Amanda is done with with her second year of college. Now if she would just go find a job. She thinks she really doesn't need one. OK I think she may of said that just to get a reaction out of me.
Our son is done with his second year of college. No that is not a typo both are done with their second year. He is be pulling in late tonight. He does have a job. He will be playing softball with our church too now.
Hubby's work has him driving a new bigger truck. It took a little getting use to.
Monday was a long day. He had a real good softball game this week. He is the pitcher and they won 16-1.
I enjoy watching them play ball. It is so much fun. I had a doctor appt. this week. I was told I need to lose a few pounds. I knew that before I went. Made a few bad meals for dinner this week. I really need to hire a cook. If I ever have lots of money that is what I will do hire a cook. Saturday I got to spend the day with Nikki and Ryan. OK I spent most of the time with Ryan as Nikki got work done.
Nikki, Steve and Ryan are doing good. Ryan's ear infection is better. He is sleeping 9 hours at night now. I wish I could tell you more about how Nikki and Steve are but when Nikki and I talk it is usually about the baby.
My mom is doing really good. As my thankful post said Mom made me a birthday cake and my birthday was in March. Mom is not home much I learned now I need to call to make sure she will be home she loves to go places.

Family Friday
Hubby had his first softball game. We lost but we sure had lots of fun. Hubby's work asked all their employees to fill out a new job application. They are updating fills. We are joking he may not be hired.
Both Amanda and our son have finals for college starting Monday. They will be in major studying mood.
Baby Ryan has his first ear infection. He is not a happy baby. That means Nikki is very tired. Ryan wants to be held and won't sleep much. Steve is tired too but just not sure how to help.

Family Friday
I'll start with the easy ones. Our Son and Amanda are in the last week of their 2nd year of college and preparing for finals.
Nikki, Steve and Ryan are doing great.
Hubby is busy as mowing season started early this year. Softball also started.
God has been working in my life on seeing the positive in people and not the problem. I seem to be stubborn as my mind goes to the problem they cause first.
Mom is crying more but making very good decisions.
Now to Dad update.
Dad's Kidney Doctor called a family meeting yesterday. This doctor has spoken on numerous occasion with Dad's heart Dr. and they are in agreement. Dad's kidneys are failing. Dialysis isn't really an option. He believe Dad would be in more pain and or have a painful quick death at the start of dialysis. But it is our decision. We as the children agree it is Dad's decision and he is still in sound mind. After the dr. left the room saying he will talk with Dad and Mom tomorrow about our decision. Dad said he doesn't think he wants dialysis. Dad said we are each to call mom by morning and tell her our decision. Then dad needed to use a bed pan so we all went out in the hall and told mom our decision then. Dad doesn't want dialysis so we don't either. The dr. walked by and my sister asked how will me know this is it, the end. He said Dad will be in LaLa land. He will keep him comfortable.
Please Pray Dad can meet with our pastor one more time. He is way and will be returning soon. Pray he will be at peace and doesn't linger long.

Roller Coster Ride.
So Hubby and I went to Pocono Raceway. About an hour away. For Christmas I had gotten hubby the NASCAR drivers experience. Today was his day to go for a ride. Hubby had so much fun. I'll post pictures when I get them off the camera.
We got home and I called my sister again. This time I find out she is now home recovering. Then we head to the hospital. Dad slept most of the time but knows his time is near and is ready for it. He looked bad. I got the feeling from the nurses they agree.
After we left there we had to go to Mom and Dad's house hubby had to mow. We were there over 2 hours. Mom came home. She is in denial that the end is near at least when she in her home. She keeps talking about when Dad comes home she has to .......... Please be praying for Mom.
Lastly tonight I spent time with family.
So as I look my day over I had fun breakfast (up the track) then the news of Dad (down the track) then the NASCAR thing ( back up the track) Then visit with Dad (back down) Family time (back up).
Yesterday I heard a song on the radio I just loved. I was looking for a link as I wanted to dedicate it to all of my blogger friends who are praying right now. I have not found a link and that may be because if I am right it is an older song. The Song is Prayer Warrior by Heirloom.
Thank you for your prayers.

Rejoice
Here is my update for Family and Friends:
Went to see Dad; He is doing OK. There is just nothing for them to do. His heart is so weak it can't work hard enough to get the fluid out of his legs. He also has some eye problems that goes along with being diabetic. He is needing oxygen more and more now.
After leaving Dad's room I headed to my sister's room. Don't know why so far she called me 9 times today. Was there just a few minutes. She has had no food since Saturday night and the IV stuff she isn't keeping down either. They say she can't even have water. Although she told dad maybe tomorrow she can have a liquid diet. Dad said she isn't missing anything. They let my sister walk up a floor with her IV to visit Dad once a day.
All day long the following song from my childhood I keep hearing over and over again. I don't know all the words just a few
Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice
Rejoice Rejoice.

I'm Falling
Dad had a very bad night and he is in critical care. Mom was crying trying to tell me and asked to call my brother and sister. I called my brother but when I went to call my sister her husband answers. My sister was just taken to the hospital in extreme pain. He was working on getting child care for their 6 yr. old. Of course I offered.
My sister will be in a few days. She is on morphine for the pain and something for the infection. She has an intestine problem.
I will me a mom of a kindergartener for a few days. That life was over 14 years ago.
I know I'm going to wake up soon and God will not let me fall all the way to the bottom. Even when things are bad they always do get better. I am so relieved God will carry all this for me. God will walk, speak and even think for me. I know with my stress I forget things but I know with out a doubt God will not let me forget what is important.
Thank you for your prayers and listening to me ramble.

Family Friday
Amanda is having a mini break. They got 2 extra days off this year. She is also looking for a summer job right now.
Hubby been busy with work at Mom's and Dad's house. They have so much work for him to do. Church softball officially start tomorrow.
Our son is busy finishing his year at school. He will be home the beginning of May. Then he will be playing softball too.
Nikki, Steve and Ryan are doing good. Ryan had his first baby shots. They had a rough day but he is fine now.
Dad's swelling has gone down but the wounds have not healed yet. Mom is getting upset with him because he keeps eating things he is not allow to. I am learning caring for aging parents takes patience and lots of time.
I had a full week at Curves now and I seem to have so much energy. I need it to.

Family
This would have been nice if I had it by Family Friday but we just took it today. Hubby and I had gone to stay with Dad while mom went shopping. While we were there my brother showed up and a short time later my sister came. Dad said get the camera and lets take a family picture so we did. Hubby is taking the picture. First is me in the striped top, Mom has the white shirt on and Dad is in his new chair, by brother is standing behind the chair and my sister is kneeling on the floor. We did have one other brother who pasted away 21 years ago this month. My brother is the oldest of the siblings then my late brother, me and my sister is the baby. So that is the family I grew up with.Friday, April 4, 2008
Family Friday
Dad has 3 wounds now on his legs. He is deitbetic so this is very serious. His leg hurts all the time now. The nurse that comes to the house thinks he needs to go back to the hospital but Dad says no. Dad enjoys having his friends come visit. They are making plans for an afternoon of Haus. Haus is a card game Dad loves to play. Mom is having a hard time. She gets no rest. She really needs a day to herself. Maybe when the guys come to play cards mom can get out. I tell her we will come over so she can go shopping but she just doesn't call. Mom has lost a lot of weigh.
Hubby is looking forward to the start of Church softball. He enjoys the game. They will start any day now if it stops raining.
I am so tired and cold. Not sure what I might be starting with. Or could it be just everything catching up with me. I have a hard time staying awake during the day right now.
Amanda is tired but she b-sat till midnight then had classes at 8:00 AM. After that she b-sat again.
Didn't hear anything from our son so all must be good.
Nikki, Steve, and Ryan are doing great. I hear Ryan loves his swing. Hubby is cute our wallpaper is a picture of Ryan so when Hubby turns the computer off at night he says good night Ryan.

Saturday Situations
I've been really enjoying this week. I have spent more time in the Word this week then I have for awhile. I am doing studies on words and maybe sometime in the future I will write about them. I am also really enjoying my cats this week. They are spending more time with me. You will understand why when you read what Amanda is up to. I am looking forward to spring weather. Yes we had a few warm days but with the extra light at night I am ready to start my nightly walks again. I did start when I take the little boy to afternoon preschool. I come home get the dog and go for a walk. Last night our church had a Ladies Comedy Cafe. I don't remember when I laughed so much. If you get a chance rent the video Purse-onality with Anita Renfroe. Highly recommended.
Hubby is better. Thanks for your prayers. He now has the "tail end" of a sinus infection. He also went back to work after being off for 9 days because of vacation time. He was so nice this week. He went and sat with my dad so mom could have a day to shop. She really needed that.
Our son headed back to college to finish his sophomore year. He will be back in May. I'm sure that time will come quickly.
Amanda is house sitting for the people she baby sits for. They have two dogs so she is living at their home while they are gone. Their house is up for sale so when someone wants to come see the house she has to put the dogs in the car and drive around for awhile. My cats miss Amanda. They sleep with her at night and now cry for awhile till they decide I will do and come cuddle with me.
Nikki, Steve and Ryan are doing great. They didn't get to come down on Easter because we didn't want the baby to get sick. We hope to see them real soon.

Family Friday
Ryan is doing great. He is sleeping 6 hours at night now. Nikki and Steve are liking the extra sleep at night. We so wanted to see all of them for Easter but with sickness going around that is not going to happen.
Hubby and I went away for a few days and of course the day we left I went to the doctor and found out I have bronchitis. He put me on strong medicine and I was better in 2 days just the lingering cough.
Hubby we think has the flu. He just hurt all over and has a cold. The only thing that confuses us is no fever. I thought one got a fever with the flu. This also means Hubby can't visit or help out my dad right now.
Amanda had a sore throat yesterday and today a good strong cold.
Now you can understand why Nikki, Steve and Ryan won't becoming for Easter.
Some how our son missed all this sickness. He is home on spring break but is healthy.
Mom seems happier with dad at home. It is less running for her and she can get something done around the house. Dad is concerned because he is starting to lose his voice. I think it is dry and he needs to drink more. He said since taking all this medicine water doesn't taste good.
Thank you for your prayers all.

My Days
Here is what is going on in my life. As of this moment Dad is in the hospital. However the machine they need to do the surgery is broken. This machine gives Dad a little hope. There is nothing else Doctors can do for him. So they said they are going to send him home again because it has been two day since his last attack. The family really doesn't want him home yet because he is worst than before. However medicare says he must go home. We don't know how long he will be home till his next attack. He has been home as little as 2 hours and as long as 2 1/2 days. This is so hard on family and we do lots of rearranging our schedules.
I am so tired and stressed so hubby and I are take time to ourselves. I've asked my brother and sister to step up one extra day for me. They agree I needed as they both work full time and I can do more of the running for my parents.
So tonight after dinner Hubby and I are leaving for Lancaster PA. We will be staying over night and tomorrow we will go to Sight and Sound www.sight-sound.com to see "Daniel And The Lion's Den." We will return tomorrow night. I am so looking forward to a day away but I also feel guilty for being selfish.
I just want you all to know I may not be on my blog much as my free time is limited lately. Thank you all for sharing the verses that get you though the had times.

Family Friday
Ryan now weighs 10lbs and 4 ozs. He is 21 inch. I can't wait to hold him. I know he will cheer me up holding my grand baby and giving him kisses. Nikki and Steve are doing good. They are trying to figure out this night thing call sleeplessness with a newborn in the house.
Our son is doing good. I believe starting Monday he will have mid-term and then next Friday he will be home on Spring break.
Amanda had mid-terms this week and is on Spring break starting 2:00 PM today. She needs the break. She had a few panic attacks this week.
Dad isn't doing well. Mom told me this morning that he started to fade so doctors had to use the paddles to bring him back. He is in ICU now. I don't understand hospitals. They sent him home yesterday at 3:00 PM by 5:30 PM I was calling and ambulance. Mom is so tired and I'm sure scared (she won't admit that). I am worried mom will become ill too. Many years ago when Dad had his first heart attack the day Dad finally came home from the hospital mom had a stoke. She had no lasting effects but still. I know how hard it is on us kids, it has to be worst on her. I pray she comes to know Jesus so she can drawl comfort from Him.
Hubby is very supportive. When I say we need to see Dad he drops everything and goes. He works odd hours so sleep for him can be an issue. Hubby knows how much I need to Ryan right now so he is OK with making the road trip tonight even though he works tomorrow.
As for me I don't know how to say I am doing. I can be happy and cheerful and then I think about Dad or talk to someone and just want to cry. Last night was the scariest thing I ever saw. I think I need rest too. Tomorrow is my Birthday and all I want is a happy day.

A Day To Rejoice
We had our largest number of children in the preschool class. We had 10 and 3 of our regulars were not there. That means we will have 13 of which only 2 are girls and they are sisters. Miss Susan and I take turns teaching and she taught today and did a great job.
But what amazed me even more is there were 123 adults who attended Sunday School! 123 Adults! Many times adults skip the Sunday School and just do worship. It is so awesome to see they want more of you Lord. I know the church is giving you the glory for all you are doing.
In return for this you Lord is blessing the church.
As for an update on my dad. When he was released last week from the hospital the doctor in charge of his discharge told him he no longer needed two of his medications he was taking for years. Now they are thinking that is the whole reason for his problems this time. They once again have him back on those medicines and he is feeling so much better. Today it felt good to hear dad say he can see himself coming home again in several days. He has been saying this is it. It is death.
Thank you for your prayers my heart and spirit are rejoicing today.

Saturday
My birthday is March 8th. Ten days after my dads. We just like to joke we can celebrate all the whole time in between.
As for an update on Dad. Last night was hard on him. He is sure he is dying. Today he is doing better they moved him into a private room so he can have visitors.
Thank for your prayer everyone. I am so touched by each of you.

Family Friday.
Blogger friends please be praying for Dad, Mom and me.
OK on to family news.
Our Dog had went for a hair cut today. The groomer said she was the best she has ever been. You see we gave her medicine this time to calm her nerves first. I usually have to mussel her before turning her over to the groomer. I'll try to get a picture of Kaci and post it soon.
Hubby didn't have a too busy week but he will have a busy day tomorrow. They are calling for snow again. He will have to snow blow 2 neighbors driveway and my parents. He may also be taking mom to the hospital since he has 4 wheel drive.
I had a good week till today. Today things started falling apart. There are some people with an odd view of the world out there. I had a few interesting conversations.
Our son gave me his store list for when he is home on spring break. He wants real food. I don't mind helping him out that way. I often freeze some of our leftovers for him. I hope he remembers my birthday this week. That will just make my week shine.
Amanda still isn't feeling 100% she has had some kind of stomach pain off and on for over 3 months now. Doctors still haven't figured it out. I think maybe she needs to eat 3 balanced meals and not snack all day till dinner.
Nikki, Steve and Ryan are doing good. My birthday wish from them, is to get to see Ryan again. I miss the little guy. I bet he is getting big. They did send new pictures this week.
Well that is my week. Pray for us and I pray for all of them.

Family Friday
Monday started out fun. I went shopping for Ryan. I think it is time to see my grand baby again. I bought lots of clothes for him. Then later that day Dad went to the hospital so we had many trips to visit him. I also had to fix Dad's computer. Thursday our dear friend was admitted too.
Today we had a snow storm.
Hubby been busy today shoveling our driveway, two neighbors and my parents. Hubby is finally over his cold.
Amanda, whom is claustrophobia had some scary moments visiting my dad and using the hopsital elevators. It was nice of her to go visit. She has been to many hospitals and they all come with a story.
Our son was having computer problems and first told me about them today. It was an easy fix so he is back online.
Nikki, Steve and Ryan are doing good. Steve is a firefighter and spent the morning at a fire. I just love including Ryan now. Just typing his name brings a smile to my face.
Yesterday at bible study I was sitting next to a friend who became a grandmother on Monday. Another gal at the table who has been a grandmother for a few years commented that Marie and I still have that new gramma twinkle in our eye.
Dad has his good times and his bad times. This morning he said he should be coming home on Sunday and then this afternoon Mom said somethings have changed and it may be longer till he comes home. Mom is so tired. Dad left my Pastor visit for over an hour and said he could come visit him at home. A true answer to prayer.
“Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”
Psalm 107:1
