I Am Of Value

Today in church our Pastor continued his message on prayer. Our Pastor truly has a gift for teaching the Word. We are going though the Lords pray. Last weeks message was on the word "Our" this week the message was on the word "Father". I know what some of you may be thinking but Pastor is so gifted teaching on just one word give us so much to think about.

His point #3 was: If God is our "Father" then we are adopted as his Sons and Daughters.
He took us to Matthew 10:29-31
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

I did not know how devalued the sparrow was? This brought new insights to how loved I am. He went on to explain if you went to the market to buy 4 sparrows you get one for free. But yet God cares for them and won't let them fall. I am so much more valuable than a penny or free sparrow.

Luke 12:6-7
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

His next point was If God is our "Father" then we are His Heirs. That makes Jesus our older brother. He is the perfect Big Brother. He watches out for me and would do anything for me. He did he took my sins to the cross and died for me! What God gave to Jesus he give to me.

I just left church feel so much more loved today than I have in a long time.

what a great sermon and a sweet kitten. I just LOVE kittens. I love to name them with people's names instead of cuties names like Buttons etc. We have a girl kitty now and her name is Annie!! We have had Simon; Lucy and Sammy in the past.
It is good to know how special we are!! The older I get the more I understand it. Sandy
