Help Wanted

Blogger Friends I am asking a favor of you. Those of you who read my blog would you please either email or leave me a comment as to your favorite scripture to read for comfort? Dad is not fairing well at all. I am trying to be strong when I'm around him but I find myself having to leave the room so I don't cry. Dad keeps saying don't go stay with me. He is afraid he will close his eyes and not open them again.
I want to find more scripture to carry with me that I can read or recite to drawl comfort from. I may also share it with dad. I've been reading some on my own but I just feel if it is something that some ones says really helped them that to will give me comfort.

So please email or leave a comment as to your favorite scripture of comfort.

"They that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee." Psalms 9:10

"My flesh & my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever." Psalms 73:26

Hope these speak comfort.

Man do I know how hard this is.
I haven't been around much--i am praying.
For years I have stood on the verse that--All things work together for the good of those who Love Him and are walking according to His plan. Also He will keep him in perfect peace who's mind is stayed on Him.

None of these fit the hurt of this situation. There is a verse that says he captures and holds all of our tears in a little bottle. He tenderly holds us in our hurt. He is near to the brokenhearted.

Words seem so useless here. But I will be praying for you. Tender hearts are held by God. I pray you feel His closeness.
I will also pray that your Dad will feel the closeness of His Father.
Wish I could give you a hug.
Praying.

One of my favorite verses that gave me comfort when I was going through the ordeal with my daughter's premature birth was Philippians 4:6,7
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

That's easy!

Psalms 118:14...

The Lord is my strength and my song.
He has become my Victory!

Memorize it.
Live by it.
