Making The Most Of A Crummy Job

I'm wondering what God is trying to tell me. Is he trying to see how committed I am to His calling or is He telling me change directions.

I got this "nanny" job for 2 little boys. I thought this would be a perfect job as I was hired with free time and good pay. Free time to volunteer work with children but by "nannying" I'm working with children and providing to the income of our home.

Monday was the first day and I came home wondering what have I gotten myself into. You see they also just got this puppy that needs to be trained. They also had told me a few things and then the first day changed. To top every thing off the mother was 40 late getting home and it didn't faze her. I had to change my whole evening plans. I came home looked at my husband and the tears started and I said I can't keep doing this. Being the loving husband he is. He offered to buy dinner. (He probably knew he would have to anyway, knowing my cooking.) We talked about a few things and I started feeling better.

I was looking forward to being off Wednesday and spending a day with my husband (his day off). Just to make it through the week. Only our son sent out and S.O.S. car broke down needs dad to come on his day off and fix it. Our son's college is 6 1/2 hours away! So that is 13 hours of driving and however long to fix the car. Forget spending the day with hubby.

Then I get this email from a friend. She is reading a Max Lucado book. Max's says "to make the most of a crummy jobs."

After reading that a few verses popped into my mind.

Mark 10:27

If you are reading this say a prayer for hubby safe travel and easy repair. Pray for me as I am going to have a talk with the parents about how things have changed since they hired (2 weeks ago) till yesterday when I started.
