Seeking God's Will

I am seeking direction from God for this next faze of my life. I have no doubt he wants me ministering to children. I spoke with my pastor and he suggested a few things and some books to read. Here is what I'm wondering. Could God be showing me two different areas and letting me chose? Or is it me not seeing something.

The first choice I was approached about I would love to do and I think it would be very easy to do. It just one morning a week. I was very excited about the possibility and have been praying is this for me, show me Lord, I want to be obedient.

The second choice is a paid position two mornings a week and they would offer me training in child evangelism. I'm nervous about this one and not sure I could do it but the training experience would be awesome.

Both position would run Sept.- May. So I still have my summer time for mission trip and family vacation.

Toss all this with some health concerns I'm dealing with and I'm saying "Lord Help Me here I'm missing something."

I know this isn't my normal blog but if anyone reading this has some advice on seeking God's will please either email or leave me a comment. I would love advice on where to search in the Bible. I reading and studying my bible daily but for some reason I'm not seeing what God wants of me.

Just continue praying about it. I remember the first time I prepared to lead a Bible study at my church. I was scared, but I continued to pray...God put everything in motion for me NOT to miss it. He opened the doors.
Not sure it that helps but that was my personal experience :)

Blessings to you and yours.

Maybe you are trying to hard to "see" the answer. When my ministry with the sexual abuse counseling came into my life I was not seeking it, it found me. Just let it happen.....God will let you know. One day it will just be there in front of you and you will not be able to say no.

Hey Sandi. Your blogs are so special! Proverbs 3: 4-6, is a very well known verse, on Wisdom, as is both Chapters 3&4 of Proverbs..but accually, both offers sound good to me :) I am so thankful for how you desire to walk close to the Lord, and be in His will. The Verses below have been very special to me. These verses talk about having our Joy in the Lord, Being a Testimony, our Prayer Life, and putting our faith into Action. May The Lord continue to bless you in all you do!
Love, Toni

Phillipians 4:4-9
4Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again--rejoice!
5Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.
6Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
7If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
8And now, dear brothers and sisters, let me say one more thing as I close this letter. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
9Keep putting into practice all you learned from me and heard from me and saw me doing, and the God of peace will be with you.
