People having been asking me lately how I keep worry away. OH it would be so easy to give way and worry with all that has been going on in our lives lately. But here is what I learned.

I knew worry is a sin. But a few months ago I realized what kind of sin it was. Think about what worry really is. It is selfishness. It is wanting things a certain way. We want the money to pay our bills. Well did you stop to think God may not have that same plan. Maybe he wants you to change your spending habits. We want our health. God's plan for our lives maybe to have health issues so we can bring other to Him with how we deal with our health issues.

Does that mean we can't be concerned or cautious. No but don't start thinking things has to be a certain way. That is plan selfishness. God can do things completely different. Like I said in a few posts ago. I was looking for ways to come up with more money. I didn't think God would lower the price $600 for us. God's way of doing things are not our ways or for us to understand sometimes. Just remember EVERYTHING God does is to bring Him glory.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight

Such an insightful post Sandi. The Lord has been teaching me just this very thing over the past several years. I find the more I lean into Him the more peace fills my soul.

You are so right! I completely agree and it brings another verse to my mind --
Isaiah 55:9 - As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts
