My Little Place

Where does my day go. It was a busy day today. I had lots to household things to complete. I was doing fairly well till noon time. That is when it hit me. Where is my devotion time today? So I stopped my pace and spent some time with God. That is where I read this by Elizabeth George
A Little Place
"Where shall I work today, dear Lord?"
And my love flowed warm and free.
He answered and said,
"See that little place?
Tend that place for me."
I answered and said, "Oh no, not there!
No one would ever see.
No matter how well my work was done,
Not that place for me!"
His voice, when He spoke, was soft and kind,
He answered me tenderly,
"Little one, search that heart of thine,
Are you working for them or ME?
Nazareth was a little place....
so was Galilee.
You see that little place is my home. I can tend it and no one seems to notices and I often just want to hear "wow you've been busy today" or "thanks for doing my laundry" Well I just want to hear human praise. God says No No NO. I am to do these things as doing them for Him. Others don't need to see my work. I am to take care of the little place God has given us and do it with joy.
So I decide next time I am tending the household, I'll turn on the praise music and give God the glory for my little place.

Boy do I understand this post.
I was so busy doing things for God that people saw for so long that it was kind of a shock to be at home doing "nothing".
He sees....
