The British Are Coming

That was the title of my devotion this morning. We are to be the Paul Revere of today. We are to warn "The Christ is coming." Think about it. It is true. Paul raced through the town warning people the British are coming so they could save themselves, arm themselves for battle. I don't think Paul worried if people would think him odd or laugh at him. His only concern was to save lives. Sound familiar? We are to be Paul Revere and warn people to save their lives, be prepared for battle. We are not to worry what others think about us. If they don't listen to us that is their choice but we are to be the warning.

I think it is summed up in Ezekiel 3:17-19

"Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. When I say to a wicked man, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. But if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself.

This is a real ouch devotional. But He is coming and we do need to be out there warning people.
I am really glad that this new job I will be doing will allow me to be around those who are not Christians.Normally unless I went out of my way I was just around family and friends and maybe bumped into non believers in walmart.
I'm excited.
