Thankful Thursday

NO That is the word I'm thankful for. Yes I'm thankful for the word "NO" and I learned how to use it. With God's help I learned what my main priorities are and learned when I need to say "No I can't right now." "No, I'm sorry I don't have time to add that to my schedule." Don't get me wrong I do say Yes too. I just learned I need to know what my time allows and what God is asking of me at the time. I also don't give reasons to why I say no that will give people control to try to reason why I should say yes without knowing my whole life at the time.

Right now I need to leave time to help with my father so when asked if I would help on the kitchen team at church I could say NO. Ok my friends are saying that is an easy one for me to say no to, but if asked if I would be asked work on any other committee that would take time and prep right now I know I need to say no.

I also can say no to my children. I can do it with out feeling guilty. Yes my children are no longer teens but even when they were. That is when I did two important bible studies. Sorry I don't remember the authors but the titles were "Beating Business" and "It's Ok To Say No."

I want to thank God for giving me the control to say No. I know with God when I am walking closely with Him saying No will never be wrong.

We all need to say no sometimes, bless you.

I understand you past issue with this.
I have had the same issue. I would say No and then spend all this time stressing over how they felt about what I said.
I am still working on it--but it is getting better.
Way to go girl!

It's a good thing to be able to say no. I learned it a long time ago and I don't feel bad about it. I found out that activities can take away from the important time needed for family and I wasn't willing to sacrifice my family.
