Satisfaction

What satisfies people?

I've been hearing a people who are not happy about the cold weather. Some are the same ones who were not happy with the warm weather. They weren't happy in the fall because it meant the end of the summer. My guess they will not be happy in the spring either. Maybe because the school year comes to an end and soon the kids will be home all summer.

Then there are the people are never satified When you go out to eat with them and they never seem to have service that pleases them.

Or they say you don't have time for me anymore or why don't we ever get together? You finally invite them and they don't have any free time to get together.

Did you ever go shopping for clothes with this type of person! To short, to long, baggy, tight, bunches in the back, makes me look....., don't like the color or someone else has something just like this.

Why can't they find satisfaction in their life. I find my self unsettled from time to time and came up with the only solution. I need to be steadfast in the Lord.

Psalm 51:10
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

1 Peter 5:10
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast

I know a few people like that. It makes me sad to see people who can never seem satisfied -- they always seem to be searching for something. I know what it is they need, but I guess only the Holy Spirit can open their hearts to the truth.

I wonder what shopping for clothes with God would be like? Probably perfect fits, colors and designs everytime. But would it be as interesting? Anyway, sounds is if you need some new friends. Negativity is running ranpant in the US these days, pushed at us from all sorts of directions, for all sorts of reasons, so it is not surprising that some folks give in and adopt it as the only way to be. Hey Sandi, you need a hug :)
For me, its the ones that are always reciting Scripture and talking about what God is doing in their life, but can never give a cheerful look, or a kind Hello.
But,even when people disappoint us, we need to love them :)
Thank you, my friend, for always being the same real person.
Have a blessed day!

God is teaching me how to deal with negative people--from inside my own home.
He is teaching me to speak the truth in love and let them know that as a child of God that is not how we should be. It can be rough sometimes. But if I don't say something then after awhile I just want to avoid them. Hard to do in the same house. Just love them. Love unconditionally.
