Recently I received an email about you don't need to know the Word the only thing you need is to be head over heals in love with Jesus. If the Word is God how can you be in love with Jesus if you don't know the Word?
Would you have falling in love with your spouse if you did talk with him or listen to him? Would you have known him? Well the same is true of Christ we need to know His charterer and desires for us. The way to do that is to know the word.
When you are in the Word the Holy Spirit will help you discern what is truth. We need to know the truth in today's world as there are many false teachers.
