Merry Christmas

I want to take this time to wish all my friends a Very Merry Christmas and a Healthy New Year. May God be number one in your life and your joy shine for Him.

I will be away from posting for a few days but I first wish to share with you our family Christmas letter that was mailed out to family.

This year has brought about Joy and Sorrow. So much has changed in our lives.
February 5th was a joyful day as we welcome Stephan Ryan Howell into the family. Ryan as we call him is Nikki and Steve’s first child. Our first Grandchild. We enjoy being grandparents. Yes we do spoil him. Then as February started to come to a close Dad’s health started to fail. Dad turned 76 but had his birthday in the hospital. From the end of February to April 20th dad spent a lot of time in the hospital with short stays at home in between. Our pastor often visited Dad in the hospital. On one of those visits in March, Dad accepted Christ as his savor and assured us he would be going to heaven. On April 20th with Mom, me and several of mom’s family near, the angels came and took Dad to heaven.

So now to update you on what the family has been doing.

Amanda is in her 3rd year at East Stroudsburg University. She hopes to working the Social Services with adoptions. School keeps her very busy. Her job ended in April and she hasn’t found a part time job since.

Jason is in his 3rd year at Liberty University in VA. He hopes to write children devotionals. He works in construction when he is home from school. Jason played on the church softball and went on the W. VA. Mission trip again this year.

Nikki is now a stay at home mom. She loves spending time with Ryan, their little trouble maker. Ryan is a happy baby and can find mischief almost anywhere. Steve is working hard and lots of over time to support his family.

John is busy with working for the bakery. He often is mandated to work on his days off. In his free time he is mom’s handy man. She can always find things for him to do. John was the pitcher again on the softball team. They had an outstanding season. On the mission trip he worked on cars. He enjoys working on cars and finds it relaxing.

I am baby sitting just 3 days a week now. I enjoy getting things completed around the house. A few times a month mom, aunt Lois and I will go out for a day of shopping. We always laugh more then we buy. I was on the mission trip year once again heading up a team doing bible school. I feel so blessed to be able to do this. I also enjoy blogging about my insights and what the family is doing. You can read my blogs on the web at www.sandimahorsky.blogspot.com

As for our pets we added a new kitten this past spring. Milo is a pure white kitten. I had collected white cat figurines since I was a little girl, so when we saw a white kitten we just had to adopt him. Fred and Wilma (Wil) our pure black cats have so much more energy now chasing a kitten. Kaci the dog still rules the house. She has her ways letting every know who’s boss.

Mom is doing well, all things considered. We all keep her very busy. Spends more time baking now and we all benefit from that.

Our family wishes you the most joyous of Christmas and a Blessed New year.
