Family Friday In Honor Of Dad

Is it ironic that today is Family Friday and the day we said good by to my father's earthly body.
Today was Dad's Military Funeral. It was very hard for me but with family and friends I am making it. My pastor was given the honor of speaking. Dad gave his life over to Christ on March 16th of this year with my pastor leading him in prayer.

Mom will have a some hard days ahead for her but I know hubby and I will be there for her and I believe my sister and brother will too.

Our Son got in at 2:30 AM this morning to be home for the funeral. He will head back to school Sunday. I am just very thankful he could come.

Amanda had a hard time too. Her actions the past few days reflect that. She has also said good bye to family she was a "nanny" to for about 1 1/2 years. She watch the little one growing up and Wednesday they moved to another state.

Nikki, Steve and Ryan came down for the funeral and then we got to spend time with them at the house. Ryan is such a good and happy baby. He brought joy to my mom and I on this hard day.

Hi Sandi, I came over from Talk to Grams. I have said goodbye to both my Mother and Daddy so I know where you are right now, Sweetie. My Dad had the honor guard and taps with the flag draped casket. I suppose your Dad was WWII like mine. What a comfort to know he is in Heaven waiting for you all. I know it makes a difference.
I used to live in Coreopolis(Moon Township)and Aliquipa, PA. We were there for a couple of years.
Bless you in the days ahead,
Mama Bear

What an honor to have a military funeral. We had one for Paw Paw too--he would have been honored.
I have prayed for you during this time. I am so glad that your Mother has ya'll to take care of her and make this transition easier.
I am so glad to know that we will see your father soon and be able to tell him that we prayed for his salvation.
I know that your pastor was blessed to have been able to preach at his funeral.
Praying for you girl
