If you are a parent sometimes you feel like you are talking to a wall. I felt that way. I wonder how often God thinks am I talking to a wall. How often is God telling you to do something and you don't do it. You are too focus on what you want to do at the time.
I just need to thank my friend Mark again for not being a wall on Friday night. Friday night my dad was fighting for his life. Doctors thought he was having his last hours. God woke Mark up and told him to pray for my dad. These are Mark's words to me in an email.
"I woke up from a sound sleep and sensed that it wasn't going well for your dad.
I wasn't wide awake but was about 1/2 way awake. Anyway, so I started to pray for your dad, that he wouldn't die yet and that he would be able to live long enough to have another visit with PT and accept Jesus as is savior. I then told God that it's okay to take me before your dad so that this would happen."
First let me clarify PT is short for Pastor Tim. Mark has never met my father I'm not even sure Mark knew Dad's name. God knew I just didn't know how to pray. I couldn't bring myself to say God if you need to take dad go ahead. I didn't want my dad to go. I had no idea how to pray for dad anymore.
Here you have Mark making a sacrificial prayer. He told me the words were out of his mouth (to take me) before he even knew what he was saying.
Now back to dad fighting for his life. Toward morning Dad was doing better and was moved out of critical care unit. Then yesterday Pastor Tim (PT) got to visit him again and Dad gave his life over to Christ.
Then this morning Kathy at http://kathysklavier.blogspot.com/ left a comment on yesterday's blog. During church she thought of dad & I and said a pray. Once again this is someone I've never met just read her blog daily. The Holy Spirit brought to her mind my Dad to pray for him. Thank you Kathy for "Listening up"
So I want to tell people to keep "listening up". God is speaking to you. If the Holy Spirit wakes you to pray for someone, even if you don't know them, you better pray. Or out of no where God tells you to pray for someone you, no matter where you are you need to pray. It can very well be a matter of life or death.

God is so good!
How sweet those words were to me--brought tears to my eyes. Thank you Jesus for answering my prayers and the prayers of many others. Your Dad has been on my heart so often.I have been praying for his salvation. One more brother to meet when I get to heaven. Please tell you Dad that I look forward to meeting him when I get there.
How awesome it is to have our faith be made sight here on earth. It is more often that we offer up heart felt prayers and we never see the rewards. I love you girl--this just gave my heart a great big boost!
Sending lots of love your way.
Thank ya Jesus! One more snatched from the hands of our enemy!
I will remove him from the salvation side of our prayer list. \0/
